AWARDS 2000,00 euros: 1000,00 euros for the absolute first prize in the competition and other various prizes for the winners of each section. Furthermore, prizes include scholarships, partecipation in concerts, certificates of attendance, etc. The winners will be selected by a Committee of experts. There are also many special prizes assigned by the audience during the Final session.There are Two Rounds: Preliminary Round and Final Session
1.Preliminary examinatiom will occur at the Nelson Mandela Theater Misterbianco-Catania on May 14th and 15th 2026. For this preliminary examination musicians will choose to take part in presence or on-line(by video) with assignment of certificates for the partecipants with the highest result in each section.

2. The Final session, only for Finalists with the highest result, will take place in presence on May 16th 2026 and will include the assignment of awards 2000,00 euros (1000,00 euros for the absolute first prize) and a Gala Round in Nelson Mandela Theater –Misterbianco- Catania.
   There are 6 Sections, 5 sections for adults including :
   -Chamber music and Ensemble music for adults since age 35 years old
   -Piano since age 35 years old
   -Opera Singers for adults age 16-35 years old for Women; 18-38 for Men

• String instrument for adults since age 35 years old
  -Wind instrument for adults since age 35 years old
  1 Section Young Talent for piano, strings, winds, accordion, guitar, chamber music for young musicians. For all these instruments: Cat A since 12 years old ; cat B since 15 years old; Cat D since 18 years old.
  There is also one Section for young musicians, “Section Young Talent” and includes Piano, String instruments,Wind instruments, Guitar, and Ensemble music for young musicians.
  The Section Young Talent”:
  Piano since age 18 years old,there is not a minimum of age so can take part also the youngest childrens ( Pianists older than this age can take part in Section Piano for adults since 38 years old).
  String instruments,Wind instruments, Guitar, and Ensemble music for young musicians since 28 years old, there is not a minimum of age so can take part also the youngest childrens.

FEE. The admission fee for participants is:
Fifty euros for soloists, 30 euros for each participant in sections Chamber music and Ensemble music up to quartet, and 25 euros for participants in larger groups, from quintet to octet; groups larger than octet should pay a cumulative fee of 150 euros.
For partecipants in Section 5 (young musicians), the fee is 40 euros, except for the Ensemble music groups, which should pay 80 euros.

PROGRAM and performance duration. In the admission form, Musicale Parthenia cipants should indicate one or more pieces of music they want to submit. The performance duration should be between 20 and 35 minutes for Sections for Adults. It is possible to play again the same repertoire in the 1th and in the second round ( for the finalists); for Opera singers the program should include two “arias”, one of which should be from an Opera (including the recitativo, if any). Soloists may provide for the piano accompanist themselves or ask for an accompanist (this should be indicated in the application).
It is possible to take part to the competition in presence or online.The participants of all the sections that choose to perform online should indicate in the application form the link to the audio-video recording of their performance (on Youtube).
